HCG Weight Loss - Part 2

Hormones are messengers (like a postman) that carry messages to different cells in the body. In response to these messages, the cells perform certain functions. Hormones have a direct effect on body weight. Excess and deficiency of certain hormones can result in obesity and it becomes very hard to lose weight. I often ask my patients, “ are you healthy enough to lose weight to become healthy.” Even though the HCG weight loss plan helps reduce insulin resistance and leptin resistance, balancing adrenals, thyroid, estrogen, testosterone and growth hormone levels before starting the weight loss plan will give you a jump start by taking you five steps closer to your goal of being healthy. When patients tell me that they have tried everything, but they cannot lose weight, I often ask about hormone function testing and in majority of cases the testing has not been done.
